I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ' ?# Q& U" b. O0 w. I7 F( k# C, Z2 b ( P p6 |* [!
